Schuette Statement on Department Transition
Yesterday, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette released the following statement regarding the transition of the Department of Attorney General to Attorney General-elect Nessel:
“The first order of business today was to direct my staff to reach out to Attorney General-elect Nessel and her team. She can count on complete cooperation from my administration.
My staff and the entire department are committed to establishing a smooth and effective transition. To that end, the department has already compiled documents and materials to minimize disruption and ensure that the business of the people of Michigan continues to go forward in an efficient manner. My department will continue with the highest levels of professionalism in providing assistance to the Attorney General-elect’s team. That work on behalf of the citizens of our great state of Michigan will commence immediately.”
