Police Investigate Potential Threat To SJHS, Find Information Inaccurate and Threat Unfounded
Early on Tuesday, the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety responded to an anonymous tip that there was a potential threat of harm at St. Joseph Public High School. St. Joseph Public Safety Department, Berrien County Sheriff Department, Michigan State Police and St. Joseph Public School Administration arrived at the high school and conducted an investigation. Based on numerous interviews, it was determined that the information reported was inaccurate and the threat was unfounded.
St. Joseph Department of Public Safety stated, “We are thankful the threat was unfounded and continue to encourage people to communicate with the appropriate school or law enforcement officials if they observe suspicious or threatening activity or behavior. Ensuring the safety of our community, students and staff is a top priority”.
